A suspicious message may look like it comes from a seller, buyer or support agent. Focus on what it asks you to do, especially if it asks for money, access to your Playhub account or a security code.
Never share your Playhub password or sign-in codes, and do not confirm receipt until the agreed product or service has been delivered and checked.
Warning signs
A request to pay outside the Playhub order flow, such as a private transfer to a buyer, seller or someone claiming to be support.
A message link that asks for your Playhub password or sign-in code on another website.
Someone asking you to send a Playhub authenticator code or approve a passkey request you did not initiate.
A demand to pay a separate “verification” or “unlock” fee through a private message.
Pressure to confirm receipt before you have checked delivery, including a promise to deliver afterward.
These warnings concern access to your Playhub account. Login details for a purchased game account are different. If a service requires information about your game account, check the offer's requirements and keep the discussion in the order chat. An order does not require giving the seller access to your Playhub account.
An external payment page is not automatically a scam. Start payment from the order checkout you opened directly on Playhub, rather than from a payment link sent in chat. A payment page should not ask for your Playhub password or sign-in code. If you are unsure, stop and contact support before continuing.
If you receive a suspicious message
Do not enter credentials through the message link. Open Playhub directly and check the order or contact Playhub support from the website. Keep communication and the transaction on the platform so the relevant information remains available for review.
Save the message, sender reference and time. Report the issue through an available report option or the official support chat. Hide passwords, security codes and full card details in any screenshots you send.
If you already followed the instructions
You entered your Playhub password on another site: open Playhub directly and change it through Account Settings. Review your account for unfamiliar changes or activity. If you cannot sign in, follow Recover access to your Playhub account.
You shared a sign-in code or approved an unexpected security request: contact Playhub support promptly. Explain what you shared or approved and when, without sending the code or password itself.
Money or an order is involved: include the order or transaction reference, payment method and relevant messages when contacting support. Do not send full payment-card details or make another payment to someone promising to recover your money.
An account recovery or payment investigation may require additional checks. Do not rely on a stranger offering to bypass them.
Protect your account afterward
Enable two-factor authentication, secure your email account and approve security requests only when you initiated the action. For everyday password, email and device precautions, see Account Safety.
