How to verify your identity

When you complete a payment, you will be required to complete identity verification. This is a necessary security measure to protect our platform and users. The verification process is conducted through our trusted partner, Sumsub.

We take protecting user data and privacy very seriously. All personal information submitted to the Playhub website or through the support chat is handled and stored securely.

❗ Before You Start Your Verification:

  • Your order will be on hold, and the seller will not see it until verification is successfully completed.

  • The process typically takes 1-3 minutes to complete.

  • Sellers are obliged to verify upon first withdrawal of funds

Document types that we may request:

  • Copy of your government-issued photo ID;

  • A selfie with or without your ID;

  • Photo of your credit/debit card(you may cover all but the last 4 digits).

How to complete verification through Sumsub? (Click to expand and view the step-by-step instructions)

1. You need to go to “Purchases” section, then click on “Start Verification” button.

2. You’ll be redirected to the Sumsub page.

3. Make sure your web camera is connected and working. Alternatively, you can switch to your mobile device by clicking the “Continue on your phone” button.

Press “Continue on your phone” to switch to a mobile device using a QR code or a link.

4. On the next page, choose your country of residence and the ID document you’d like to use. Take a photo of the document and upload it. Make sure the photo is in good quality and uncut (all corners of the document should be visible). When uploaded, click “Next”.

Important information about the ID document verification:

  • You can use any official government document—ID-card, passport, driving license, etc. It should be valid for at least one month after the present date

  • Two-page or two-sided documents must have all pages/sides photographed and uploaded. Sumsub doesn't accept screenshots

  • The valid file types are JPEG and PDF at least 500KB in size

5. The next step is the Liveness Check. Face the camera and slowly rotate your head in a full circle to complete the liveness verification. Please try to keep your face within the frame throughout the procedure.

6. Now you’ll just have to wait while Sumsub checks your data. This usually takes less than 5 minutes. The status of your application will be updated automatically.

7. When you see the status update on the Sumsub page, return to the Playhub page. If you’ve successfully passed the verification, your order will be automatically put in progress.

❌ What If Verification Fails?

If you see an error message:

  • Try the verification process again, ensuring all photos are clear and meet the requirements.

  • If problems persist, contact our Support Team via online chat for assistance.

🚫 Consequences of Not Verifying

  • For Sellers: Inability to withdraw funds from the platform.

  • For Buyers: Inability to complete purchases.

  • For All Users: If fraud is suspected, failure to complete verification may result in frozen transactions or account suspension.
